DNS Checker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

dnschecker.cloud ("we", "us", or "our") operates the DNS propagation checker at https://dnschecker.cloud. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our service.

1. Information we collect

Queries you submit. When you check a domain, we receive the domain name and record type you entered. This information is used to perform the DNS lookup and is not stored after the request completes.

Server logs. Our servers automatically record standard web server logs including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. Logs are retained for up to 30 days for security monitoring and abuse prevention.

Cookies and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. Google Analytics uses cookies to track sessions. We display advertisements through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve relevant ads. We do not use cookies for authentication or to store personal data ourselves.

2. How we use your information

3. Third-party services

Cloudflare. Our site is served through Cloudflare's network for performance and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes traffic in accordance with their Privacy Policy. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for bot protection on the search form.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure usage. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense. We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You can opt out at Google Ad Settings.

4. Data retention

Domain queries are not stored after the response is sent. Server access logs are purged after 30 days. Analytics data is retained by Google per their data retention policies.

5. Security

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not store sensitive personal information.

6. Children's privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Because we store minimal data (primarily server logs that are auto-purged), most personal data deletion requests are automatically satisfied by our retention policy. If you have a specific request, contact us via the information below.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
